about LPDR

Lucky Paws Dog Rescue (LPDR) became incorporated on January 05, 2017, when 5 individuals with former dog rescue experience had a dream to run their own rescue. So far, we have found homes for 600+ dogs and puppies. Even through the Covid-19 pandemic, where events and fundraising were on hold, we knew dogs still needed our help for vetting and emergency care and food.

LPDR is purely foster-home based; we do not have a dedicated building for viewing our dogs.  We have foster homes in Regina, Moose Jaw, Fort Qu'appelle and surrounding areas of Saskatchewan, Canada.  Everyone from the Foster families to the Directors are all strictly volunteers. It's not about people making money, it's about saving dogs' lives!

Our aim is to help as many dogs as we can that come to us from a range of situations such as: dogs dumped on the side of a rural road; owner surrenders; stray dogs living on the streets; a litter of puppies where the mom is nowhere to be found; or dogs living in horrible, inhumane situations. We bring these dogs into our care; place them in loving, caring foster homes; and give them the vet care and/or grooming that they need. They each receive the love, attention, warmth and security that they each deserve.

**Our organization does not discriminate against any age, breed, or size of dogs that we take into rescue. However, if any dogs are deemed aggressive, they will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. We do not want to have our foster homes or the general public be in a potentially harmful situation.
