about LPDR
Lucky Paws Dog Rescue (LPDR) became incorporated on January 05, 2017. Months later after all of the paperwork cleared, we became a Canadian Registered Non-Profit Charity.
In late 2016, 5 individuals with former dog rescue experience had a dream to run their own rescue. Since then, we have found homes for 600+ dogs and puppies. The biggest challenge has been 2020 when the Covid-19 pandemic hit; some processes had to be adjusted, but we are prevailing and still finding loving, caring homes for our dogs and pups.
Our aim is to help as many dogs as we can that come to us from a range of situations such as: dogs dumped on the side of a rural road; owner surrenders; stray dogs living on the streets; a litter of puppies where the mom is nowhere to be found; or one or more dogs living in horrible, inhumane situations. We bring these dogs into our care; place them in loving, caring foster homes; and give them the vet care and/or grooming that they need. They each receive the love, attention, warmth and security that they each deserve.
LPDR is purely foster-home based; we do not have a dedicated building for viewing our dogs. We have foster homes in Regina, Moose Jaw and surrounding areas of Saskatchewan, Canada. Everyone from the Foster families to the Directors are all strictly volunteers. It's not about people making money, it's about saving dogs' lives!
**Our organization does not discriminate against any age, breed, or size of dogs that we will take into rescue. However, if any dogs are deemed aggressive, they will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. We do not want to have our foster homes or the general public be in a potentially harmful situation.**
